I started out using myself and family members as clients. My mom caught me when I was four years old giving myself a rad Cyndi Lauper haircut. She didn’t think it was so awesome at the time and I had baby fine blonde hair which seemed like it took forever to grow back in. Hair has always been something I was interested in and making others feel good about themselves soon became a passion of mine, even when it was just a hobby.

I started out doing hair in the middle of the downturn in 09′ so things were dicey and I had a family to support. I quickly decided to jump into something a little more stable and less my speed to provide stability. I started to realize this was something I could use as an outlet later on after I’d established roots in Covington and made some friends in the area. I was very interested in modern techniques and would find myself laying in the bathtub at night watching videos on YouTube or Instagram that re-ignited my love for this long-lost craft. Kitchen hair would soon be a thing of the past and I picked up at a salon on the Covington square working weekends only soon after. Didn’t take time to realize this was where I was meant to be, I was thriving and my clientele was growing rapidly, putting my 9-5 (big girl job) in the backseat and my “Jobbie” front row. A job that’s more like a hobby sounded pretty intriguing to me.

Covid reared its ugly head 4 months after leaving my comfort zone, I thought this was the worst mistake of my life but turned out there were other plans in store for our family.
